Some elements of this site are inspired by the legacy of Commodore, a brand that sparked a generation's love for personal computing. Commodore International Corporation, a home computer and electronics manufacturer with its U.S. executive office founded in 1976, succeeded Commodore Business Machines (Canada) Ltd., established in 1958 by Jack Tramiel and Manfred Kapp. Commodore played a foundational role in the home computer revolution and, during the 1980s, became the largest producer in the industry. Its most iconic product, the Commodore 64, remains the best-selling desktop computer model of all time, with estimated sales ranging between 12.5 and 30 million units.

Today, Commodore Corporation B.V. is a Dutch holding company and the current owner of the 47 registered Commodore trademarks.

Though HeartCode Labs is not affiliated with Commodore Corporation B.V., the modern custodian of the Commodore name, we honor the legacy it represents β€” not as a global branding partner, but as a symbol of the spark that once made computing feel like play, like power, like home. That spark lives on in us, as we, too, strive to make technology personal, joyful, and filled with possibility.
