About Me
Hi, I'm Christian Mayer, founder of HeartCode Labs - a systems and design initiative currently in incubation.
I grew up on the Commodore 128 in the North-East of France, and used it mostly in Commodore 64 mode (remember the "GO64" command?).
It was more than a machine.
It was a spark.
An invitation to build, to explore, to imagine.
That early fire led me into electronics, software, systems architecture - and eventually a career at the intersection of tech, storytelling, and soul.
I've worked across EDA (Electronic Design Automation), healthcare and creative software, often bridging design and engineering to craft systems that serve both function and meaning.
Today, I'm building HeartCode Labs not just as a company, but as a philosophy: a place where the spark of computing's golden age meets the needs of a new generation.
Purposeful. Soulful. Beautifully made.
This site is still under construction, but if you're here, you probably felt the spark too.
Let's reignite it. One byte at a time.

The Origin Story
HeartCode Labs was never simply about technology.
It began as a quiet calling: the spark of curiosity from a Commodore childhood that never faded.
A love for building systems not just for functionality, but for meaning.
HeartCode = The code that comes from the heart.
The code of creativity. Of wonder.
Of self-leadership. Of legacy.
When I was six, I took apart my dad's double-bell alarm clock to see how it worked.
By age thirteen, I broke our piggy bank to buy my first computer: a Commodore 128.
That was the spark - the moment something ancient stirred inside me.
I didn't know it then, but this was the beginning of a lifelong journey, learning not only how systems work, but why they matter.
What started as personal growth became self-leadership.
And that self-leadership evolved into a deeper mission.
Those values are now woven into everything I create:
- To serve where technology and emotional stewardship meet;
- To contribute where legacy needs real systems, not just nostalgia.
Why HeartCode Labs Exists
It's not just a business.
It's a way of building with integrity - where systems serve people.
Where joy and purpose aren't afterthoughts.
We're not selling.
We're not scaling.
We're listening. We're building.
From the inside out.
Echoes from the Spark
Over the years, I've been privileged to work with many outstanding colleagues, leaders, and teams.
The spark lives not only in my story - but in theirs.
Here are some of the words they've shared about my work:
Christian showed a remarkable level of flexibility and loyalty... able to transition rapidly by taking full advantage of his ability to absorb new information and understand the customer's point of view... I wouldn't hesitate to hire Christian again.
Christian is an outstanding communicator and brings passion to his work. His leadership, insight, and ability to deliver has enabled multiple sales opportunities for our team.
Christian embodies the term, professional... despite my discouragement, he encouraged me in the right direction. He has astute industry knowledge and is extremely enthusiastic.
Christian is an engaging and sociable colleague... strong focus on customers and a clear understanding of business and sales. His solid technical knowledge and clear communication make him a key partner.
Christian is task-oriented and hard-working. In our brainstorming meetings, he was always coming up with innovative ideas and can think outside the box. I'd recommend him for any mission-critical task.
Systems Stewardship
My role isn't to chase titles or seek the spotlight.
I serve as a systems steward: building the invisible architecture that allows teams, organizations, and even legacy brands to thrive.
Where technical complexity meets human clarity.
This is where I quietly do my best work.
